The Instrument Partner for Classical Musicians

With Polytone, we combine our passion for music with our commitment to young talent, turning instruments that grow in value into careers that grow with them.

Instruments That Build Careers

  • What drives us

As musicians, we know first-hand the challenges that young, ambitious artists face in their search for a high-quality instrument. We also know the frustration when the instrument of one's dreams seems unattainable for financial reasons. This is where we come in: it is a matter close to our hearts to make high-quality string instruments available to young talents at a budget-friendly monthly rate. We want to help emerging musicians develop their full artistic potential with their ideal instrument.

  • The Polytone Model

Polytone gives early-career professional musicians access to high-quality string instruments worth €10,000 to €50,000. We buy the instrument the musician has chosen, have it independently appraised and insured, and rent it out on a long-term contract with a two-year minimum term. Musicians pay a monthly rent instead of a purchase price and can buy their instrument later on. The instruments remain Polytone's property, forming an appreciating, asset-backed portfolio that generates recurring rental income. Investing in Polytone means backing a scalable business model while making sure talent, not financial background, decides a musician's career.

  • Our services

With the idea of full-service in mind, we also consult musicians one-on-one or within webinars and workshops about all things budget and financing as well as search, purchase and instrument insurance. Therefore we partner with universities, academies and other institutions. Furthermore, we always keep an eye out for potential concert engagements and connect musicians engaged with us with decision makers at music festivals and such in our professional network.

Investors are invited to exclusive concerts as well as meet-the-artist events and become part of a likeminded, welcoming community, giving you the opportunity to extend your personal network on several levels as well.

“Working together with Polytone has been a great experience. I love the supportive community.”
